Privacy Policy
Last updated · 11 May 2026
Aurafied (“we,” “us,” “Aurafied”) operates the Sarthi service on WhatsApp and the website at aurafied.in. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and where applicable the GDPR.
1. What we collect
To deliver Sarthi readings we collect:
- Birth details — date, exact time, and city of birth for you and any people you add. Required for Vedic chart calculations.
- Identifiers — your WhatsApp phone number and (if you provide it) name, email, and language preference.
- Chat history — the messages you send Sarthi on WhatsApp and the replies we send back.
- Payment metadata — UPI / card / netbanking transactions are processed by Razorpay; we receive a payment status and a reference ID. We do not store full card numbers, CVV, or UPI PIN.
- Operational data — basic logs, message timestamps, report generation status, and error events necessary to keep the service running.
2. Why we collect it
- To compute your birth chart, dasha, and transits.
- To send the morning brief, replies, and reports you ask for.
- To process payments and issue receipts.
- To respond to support requests at support@aurafied.in.
- To comply with Indian tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
- We do not show third-party advertising in Sarthi.
- We do not use your chat history or birth details to train external AI models.
- We do not share your data with employers, family members, or public records.
4. How we store and protect it
Birth details and chat history are encrypted at rest. Backend access is limited to authorised Aurafied engineers under a strict audit log. Production servers are hosted in India. Payments run on Razorpay, which is PCI-DSS compliant.
5. Who we share data with
We share the minimum necessary data with a small list of processors:
- WhatsApp / Meta — to deliver messages. Their privacy policy applies to message transport.
- Razorpay — for payment processing. Their privacy policy applies to payments.
- AstrologyAPI (or equivalent ephemeris provider) — for raw chart math. We send only the data required (date, time, place).
- Cloud infrastructure providers in India, under standard data-processing agreements.
- Indian government authorities, only where we are legally required to do so.
6. Your rights under the DPDP Act
You can, at any time:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update any data.
- Ask us to delete your account and all related data.
- Withdraw consent for any future processing.
- Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below) or the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@aurafied.in from the WhatsApp number associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.
7. Retention
We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as long as needed to comply with Indian law. On account deletion, we erase your birth details, chat history, and stored people within 30 days, except where retention is required by tax law (financial records: 8 years).
8. Children
Sarthi is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Where you add a minor's chart (e.g. your child's), you are acting as the parent or legal guardian and consenting on their behalf.
9. Cookies and analytics
The aurafied.in website uses minimal first-party cookies for functionality. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be used to improve the site.
